I absolutely love Jalapeños and have been coming here for the last 20 years. Personally, I think they have the best bean and cheese burrito in all of Orange County. Only downfall is their prices went up so it can be pricey. A bean and cheese is now about $7-8.

Their Chile relleno burrito is a must try. This place has been here since I was a kid, and I most recently dined in. What a great reminder of how delicious the food is. I highly recommend it.

3/5 ~The ambiance is not too private. 5/5 ~ The preparation area is in the front by the register and is fun to watch. 5/5 ~ The menu is loaded with choices. They are all reasonable and large in portion size. 5/5 ~ The service is quick and the people are super kind. I will decently come back when I have the time and room for delicious Mexican food.

I have been coming to Jalapeño's for years! They have the best shredded beef hard shell tacos in the world! I will literally drive 30 minutes each way and wait in line for however long for these tacos. The spicy salsa is also one of my favorites and has such great homemade flavors. They also have the best flavors for their marinated carrots which we call copper pennies. I haven't ever tried anything else there because when you've found theee perfect dish, there is no need to try anything else!

I moved away from California in 2019 and the only thing I've missed, aside from some amazing friends, is Jalapeños. I took a road trip from CO to CA a month ago and couldn't wait until I got to Tustin to stock up on burritos, chips and salsa. I froze the salsa in individual servings, and froze the chorizo burritos as well, so I could enjoy them over time. Sealed up the huge bag of chips. They didn't last long enough! The tacos were as delicious as I remember, beautifully crispy and simple. The chorizo burritos had the perfect balance of eggs, chorizo and beans. The chips and salsa... forget about it. I see some reviews saying it's gone downhill, but after a 5 year hiatus, everything I tasted was even better than I remember. Sadly, I just ran out of the chips yesterday (been dipping into my stash daily, air frying them to re-crisp them) and am back to longing for the best chips ever made. I attempted to duplicate their mild salsa and did a decent job, but would be eternally grateful for the recipe for their hot salsa. Until I figure that out, I'll be pining away in anticipation of my next visit.

I came here the other day to try their crispy tacos that my girlfriend recommended. We showed up early afternoon and luckily the restaurant wasn't busy (yet). We walked in and placed our order for food. My girlfriend got two Shredded Beef Crispy Tacos with rice and beans, and I got a Shredded Beef Crispy Taco, an Asada Crispy Taco, and an Al Pastor Crispy Taco. In about 10 minutes our # got called and I went and picked up our order. Here's how it went: - Shredded Beef Crispy Taco, Asada Crispy Taco, Al Pastor Crispy Taco: I normally separate the items in my review but I can sum it up in one. A generous serving of meat, lettuce, and cheese is placed in each crispy taco. Each taco tasted delicious and paired well with the multiple salsas they have available. I recommended all of these crispy tacos. There's plenty of seating inside and a good sized patio outside. Parking is plentiful, though I would be kind of worried if it gets busy. Service was good, the workers were friendly. I'll be back for more!
